What it is
A tiny camera that clips on with a magnet
The GO 3S is a single-lens action camera built to be worn. The lens sits in a very small body that snaps magnetically onto a pendant, a mount or your clothes, and that small body can be detached from the module that carries the screen and the controls.
That split is the entire product. You record with the small part on your chest or head, and use the module to control it and check what you shot. When you want something more conventional, the two pieces go back together and behave like a normal compact camera.
The practical consequence is that you record things you would not record with another camera: not because the image is better, but because not getting in the way is what makes you bring it at all.
Fit
Buy it if — skip it if
The GO 3S is not competing with a 360 camera. It competes with not recording anything.
It fits what you already do
You want to record without carrying a camera. The magnetic pendant means you wear it and forget it, which is the only real reason to buy this.
Your plan is POV: hands, craft, kitchen, workshop. Seeing what your hands do while you work is not something you get with a camera on your forehead or with a phone.
You shoot short clips for social. The format rewards brief and spontaneous, not the planned session.
It does not fit
You want to choose the framing afterwards. That is a 360 camera: look at the Insta360 X4 or the X5.
You shoot fast action with vibration. On a motorcycle or bike helmet at speed, the size works against it; a camera with more body stabilises and holds up better there.
You need long sessions without thinking about it. Its strength is the short clip, not an hour of continuous recording.

Budget
Accessories that are not optional in practice
This camera without accessories is half a camera. These are the ones that show up in the first month.
Magnetic neck mount
This is the reason the product exists. Without the pendant, the camera stays on a desk. Buy the one made for the exact model: magnets from one generation do not always fit the other.
Clip and action mount
For a backpack, handlebar or helmet. It turns the small camera into a normal action camera. Pick the mount by where you are going to put it, not by price.
Dive case
Only if water is part of the plan. Do not assume the camera handles whatever you have in mind: check the official depth rating for that specific case before you take it under.
